Today is the day!

I did it! I worked furiously and I opened two new stores!

The first store?  Polkadot Plum! It’s such a cute shoppe and I just love the enthusiasm of the community. And the talent there? Amazing!

The second store? The Digichick! What is there to say about TDC? It’s a staple in the digi-scrap and hybrid world and I am beyond thrilled to be a part of it!

My products will be exclusive to each store, so be sure to check ‘em both!

The Wisdom of a Five (almost six)-Year-Old

My wonderful husband made a much needed trip to the grocery store this morning. Since I’m still recovering from pneumonia, I asked him to get some frozen meals -you know, almost real food that requires no prep on my part. I’m partial to Marie Callendar meals.

I set forth making said meals for lunch today: fettuccine for the kids, turkey/gravy/potatoes/veggies for me. To my surprise, Dalian actually thanked me. “Thanks for the food mommy!” Darn kid, too cute for his own good. So I said “You’re welcome!” Then I added that they should thank daddy since he was the one who bought the food. I was met with “But daddy’s not here!” from the boys. And what does Celia say? “We can say thank you right now because he’ll hear it in his heart.”

Profound words from this little thing:

I less than 3 you, man.

If you spend a substanstial amount of time online, you’ve probably typed in “<3″ to indicate that you “love” something.

It is with a heavy heart that I’ve come here to post about a place that’s been my digital home for over a year and half – a place full of people that I’ve grown to “less than 3.”

Pixel Gypsy Designs is closing it’s doors in February, and I am incredibly sad to see it go. However, in the wake of this news I’ve been afforded some new opportunities. I will be designing for not one, but two great digi-shoppes! I am working hard to get my new stores set up and I’m armed with a fantastic CT.

Stayed tuned to find out where I’m heading!

11/24 – Alphapalooza challenge

If you love alphas, then Gypsy Girl Amanda’s challenge this Tuesday is right up your alley. Inspired by her good friend Whit, she’s asking you to use at least 5 different alphas in a title, and she’s calling it Alphapalooza. Get that page posted in the gallery with at least one Pixel Gypsy product (free treats count!) and link it up in this thread by November 30th if you’d like some Gypsy Points to spend. And don’t forget! Gypsy Points accrue and roll over from month to month, so there’s no reason not to participate now to enjoy the fruits of your labor later.

11/17 – Technique challenge

Have you seen the new tutorial I wrote about creating vellum and shadows for it in PSE? The technique challenge this week is to include some vellum-like element on your paper and give it a good shadow that still allows the vellum to be transparent. Whip up a LO like that, post it in the PGD gallery, and include the link in this thread by November 30th to get Gypsy Points. I can’t wait to see what you come up with!
